History of Situ Gintung Ciputat
At first this area was a reservoir that was built during the Dutch colonial era in 1932 to 1933. Like other reservoirs in general, this 31 hectare area serves as a rainwater storage and to channel water to the community’s agricultural fields.
In the middle, there is an island that connects to the edge of the mainland with an area of 1.5 hectares. That area was later called Situ Gintung Island.
Until the 1970s, due to the times, the island area and the shores of the mainland were made into natural and water attractions with restaurants, swimming pools and vehicle outbound for the visitors.
Over time, in 2011 this area officially changed its name to the Gintung Dam as stated in Government Regulation No. 32 concerning Dams of 2010.

Usually visitors who come will carry out their activities independently by paying the entrance ticket as usual and renting a place with the system blocking area with a rate of IDR 20,000.00 per person.
But the management has also provided a package system (min. 50 people) for visitors who want to do gatherings without the hassle of planning. Only by paying IDR 150,000 per person, through this package, you can enjoy facilities such as entrance tickets, halls, sound system, single organ, fun games, MC, buffet lunch, snacks and drinks.
