History of the Botanical Gardens of Purwodadi Pasuruan
This area is part of the three branches of the Indonesian Botanical Gardens which have their respective functions and duties. According to historical documentation, the original name of this place is Hortus Dry Climate which was built on 30 January 1941 by Dr. LGM Baas Becking.
Initially this garden was still used as a research center for plantation crops. It was not until 1954 that the basic plantation practices were implemented by making plant collection plots.
